The House

La Maison de Tara has an ideal centre for its activities – a villa situated at 79 chemin de la Montagne in the Commune of Chene-Bougeries.

The house is set in a peaceful garden filled with trees and flowering shrubs, sheltered from the outside road. This  permits residents and their families to enjoy a tranquil and natural environment.

The living space is spread over two floors. Spacious and light filled individual rooms can accommodate 4 residents. There are also common areas where residents and families can rest, meet and recuperate.

The basement accommodates the laundry and storage of all the items needed for house maintenance. It also has rooms where volunteers and families can relax and where ongoing training programmes are conducted. 

The house is easy to reach by public transport and parking places are available both in the grounds and nearby. It is also very close to a small shopping centre and restaurant which are convenient for families and friends.

Directions for la Maison de Tara

The house is accessible by bus number 9 and by number 1 (a longer route) from the Gare Cornavin and the town centre.  You can also take bus number 34, which runs from Veyrier (direction Chevrier).  Alight at stop ‘Montagne’ just opposite the driveway to the house.

By road, follow the Route de Chêne from the centre of town.  Turn left at the lights after the Temple de Chêne-Bougeries (just before the road continues on to Chêne-Bourg) into chemin de la Montagne.
